Clip Badger ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Clip Badger service at app.clipbadger.com (the "Service"). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the Service.
Personal data. Personally identifiable information, such as your email address, that you provide when you register with the Service through our authentication provider (Clerk).
Uploaded content. Video files and stream footage that you upload to the Service for processing. This content is processed automatically by our systems. Source files are deleted 7 days after upload and exported files are deleted 14 days after creation.
Usage data. Information about how you use our Service, including your interactions with features, pages visited, and other diagnostic data.
Payment data. When you purchase a credit pack, payment processing is handled by Polar, our third-party payment provider. We do not store your full credit card number or payment credentials on our servers.
Communications data. If you contact us for support or respond to our emails, we retain those communications to help us respond to your requests.

When you upload stream footage, it is processed entirely by automated systems. We do not routinely review uploaded footage manually. Access to uploaded content may occur when necessary for technical support, security investigation, legal compliance, or abuse prevention.
Processing includes audio transcription and AI-based analysis to identify segments of interest. All processing data is associated with your account and is not shared with other users.
We do not use your uploaded content to train general-purpose AI models.

Some derived metadata, analytics logs, and billing records may be retained longer as required to operate the Service or comply with legal obligations.
Service emails. We will send you transactional emails related to your use of the Service, such as processing completion notifications and billing receipts. You cannot opt out of these while your account is active as they are necessary to deliver the Service.
Product and feedback emails. We may occasionally email you to ask for feedback, share product updates, or inform you about new features. These emails will include an unsubscribe link.
Marketing emails. If you opt in to marketing communications, we may send you promotional emails about Clip Badger. You can opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at support@clipbadger.com.
